So, for this seemingly impossible task in this seemingly impossible time, we start at a seemingly impossible place: the cross. When we start at the cross, we find that the things that divide us, the things that cause us fear, are broken down and unity reigns. The unity we find at the cross overcomes even the deepest of disagreements because it represents the very saving power of our God. It is from this place of unity that we begin to counteract and reject the divisions that have permeated our world. From this place of unity, hope is revealed as we grow in understanding, appreciation, and love.
